Hot forging: the central focus of the Carcano production process
Every Carcano product must strive for perfection: as a sign of our production philosophy and sense of responsibility to our customers. That is why everything is controlled, starting with forging.
Forging is Carcano’s core activity: it is in this phase that all our research, designing, prototype creation and testing finally come to fruition to forge our end products ready for delivery. And the Carcano plant is precisely the place where the lifting-system accessories in the CARTEC range are produced: quality raw material supplies from controlled steelworks are the first step towards a reliable, top-quality end product.
We are well aware that every single product leaving our production departments and warehouses needs to be perfect in every aspect, in an effort that is both organisational and technological.
This attention to precision is not only part of our production philosophy, but is also, and above all, due to the fact that we know very well that the integrity of handled loads depends on the reliability of our products as does, even more importantly, the safety of those who work there. Product quality is, therefore, not only a natural tendency of the company (and that would already be enough), it is also the result of a specific need and responsibility towards our users.

All the same, these ultra-modern machines go hand-in-hand with specific tests: although these machines are extremely precise, our product quality-control technicians conduct dimensional and metalloscopic checks on the forged pieces so as to prevent and avoid what are the typical drawbacks of hot forging such as cracks, inclusions, porous flaws etc. This is how we know that, whenever they are stored and then leave our warehouses, CARTEC pieces are perfect every time.
A modern, independent and well-equipped mechanical workshop

Always with an eye on guaranteeing quality, Carcano has installed cutting-edge, automated systems for forging and set up an equally modern mechanical workshop that is totally independent in its production of dies for in-house use. This is a feature that means, among other things, that we can guarantee our customers short lead times and great flexibility in the production range.
As regards lead times and product availability, an essential role is played by our automated warehouse that can independently determine stock levels of materials and directly alert the production departments when stocks need to be replenished. In this way the warehouse is never left without parts for prompt delivery to meet even the most urgent requests.
